Just to let everyone know: Part II of Buzzards Circle Dogtown, my long Western short story, has appeared in the September issue of Frontier Tales. I’m sorry that I didn’t get around to announcing this earlier this month; I can only plead the press of private affairs. As with the first part of the story, my contest offer still continues to apply. To wit, the person who guesses the allegorical meaning of the story will be awarded one (1) copy of my rootin’-tootin’, six-shooting Western novel, The Pirooters. So far, I’ve received absolutely zero guesses, but that’s no reason not to hope that some lucky so-and-so will take a chance and guess the right answer. Come on, folks. Who doesn’t like free stuff? On another front, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve had some luck in getting my short fiction accepted. My pagan fantasy short story, Raw Meat For The Great God Pan, has been accepted by Bibliotheca Alexandrina for publication in Beyond The Pillars, An Anthology Of Pagan Fantasy. The anthology is supposed to come out this month. In addition, two of my crime pieces will be published in other magazines, both online and hard print. I’ll provide more information about the stories in further posts when the time draws closer for their publication. Getting work accepted is always encouraging for a writer. So it appears that I’ve got no option except to be encouraged and to keep on plugging. Everyone please wish me luck.
