Short Story Updates

I honestly do mean to be conscientious about writing blog entries. Yet, time merrily marches right along and the gaps between posts grow wider all the while. What I intended to do was write a post every time something of mine got published, but that doesn’t seem to happen enough to make for frequent postings.

In any event, I’ve continued to plug along with submissions of my work and have had some luck. Three short stories have been accepted for publication in the last two months. Here they are in chronological order of acceptance along with the accepting publication and editor:

1. Johnny Two Places, accepted for That Hoodoo Voodoo, That You Do anthology, edited by Lincoln Crisler, published by Angelic Knight Press. This is a voodoo story set in pre-Revolution Cuba during the 1950’s. It features cameos by two of my favorite singers. I’ll say no more.

2. Grand Larceny Aboard GDI Raffaello, accepted for issue no. 4 of Tigershark, on the theme of Steampunk and Victoriana, edited by DS Davidson. Of course, you’ve heard of steampunk, the question is, are you ready for Fellinipunk? Read my story about an Italian, nuclear powered, luxury airship in 1964 and find out.

3. Vacation’s End, accepted by Harvey Stanbrough for SpecFic Short Story Contest III. This story also involves an airship, but is dystopian and more than a little grim in sharp contrast to my previous light-heared yarn.

I’ll make a special, specific announcement for each story upon its publication. Here’s hoping that everyone who reads this post is doing well. Maybe I’ll have some big news soon that I can pass along. Until that day.
